Budget Office Chairs Under £100

Cheap Office Chairs That Do the Job Properly

A good chair for home working doesn't need to cost £300. Every chair in this range is hand-picked by a furniture specialist with 20 years of industry experience, and chosen for the features that matter most at this price: adjustable seat height, a stable five-point swivel base and a supportive backrest.

Office Chairs Under £100 — By Type

Mesh office chairs. A breathable mesh back keeps you cooler in warm rooms and during longer sessions. Choose from the Start (£85, with folding arms), the Chico and the Prism (both £93, the Prism in five colours) and the medium-back Atlas (£99).

Task and operator chairs. Compact chairs with a smaller footprint, ideal for box rooms, student desks and secondary workstations. The Core 2 Lever starts at £65, with a height-adjustable arms version at £91.  The Basics 2 Lever (£98) is another simple, everyday option.

Leather-effect and fabric chairs. For a more office-like look, the Argo Executive (£74) is the most affordable leather-faced option, with built-in lumbar support. The Aura Executive (£95) has a medium back and arms, in leather-effect or fabric at the same price.

How to Choose in Three Questions

Does your room run warm? Choose a mesh back. The Start, Chico, Prism and Atlas all keep you cooler than padded or leather-effect chairs.

Are you short on space? Look at the Start, whose arms fold up so it tucks under the desk, or the compact Core 2 Lever operator chairs.

How long do you sit each day? For a few hours a day, any chair here will do the job. For longer sessions, the medium-back Atlas gives more support. For full working days, five days a week, an ergonomic office chair is the better long-term choice.
