General Questions

What type of furniture do you sell?

We specialise in affordable, high-quality home office furniture, including ergonomic office chairs, executive leather chairs, mesh chairs, height-adjustable desks, rectangular office desks, and storage solutions such as bookcases, cupboards, and TV stands. Our range also includes reception seating and matching home office collections.

Can I view the furniture before I buy?

We’re an online-only retailer, so there’s no physical showroom to visit. To help you choose with confidence, every product page includes full measurements, detailed specifications, and high-resolution images from multiple angles. And if the product isn’t right for your space once it arrives, you have 14 days to cancel under UK consumer law — see our Returns Policy for full details.

Are your desks and chairs easy to assemble?

Most of our furniture is supplied flat-packed for straightforward self-assembly, with clear instructions included. A few items — such as filing cabinets, desk pedestals, and certain executive chairs — arrive fully assembled for convenience. Assembly requirements are noted on each product page.

Where are you based?

We’re based at 43 Garnethill Street, Glasgow, G3 6QD. We work directly with UK-based manufacturers who dispatch orders from the warehouse nearest to you, so even though we’re based in Scotland, we can deliver efficiently across the whole UK mainland.

 

Product Questions

What are 24-hour office chairs?

24-hour office chairs are heavy-duty ergonomic chairs designed for continuous, round-the-clock use — typically in control rooms, call centres, and security environments. They offer enhanced durability, stronger mechanisms, and higher weight capacities than standard chairs. They’re also a strong choice for full-time home workers who spend 8+ hours a day seated.

What is the weight capacity of your office chairs?

Weight limits vary by model. Standard ergonomic office chairs typically support up to 100 kg (around 15 stone 10 lb), while heavy-duty and 24-hour chairs can support up to 170 kg (around 27 stone). Exact limits are listed on each product page under specifications.

What’s the best office chair for long hours or full-time home working?

For full-time home working, we recommend an ergonomic chair with adjustable lumbar support, a synchronised tilt mechanism, adjustable armrests, and seat height/depth adjustment. Our ergonomic office chairs and 24-hour chairs are both designed for sustained daily use. Mesh chairs tend to suit warmer rooms or users who run hot, while padded fabric or leather chairs offer more cushioning for longer stints.

Which chairs are best for back pain or lower back support?

For lower back support, look for chairs with adjustable lumbar support, a contoured backrest, and a seat that allows you to sit with your hips level with or slightly above your knees. Our ergonomic range is built around these principles. If you’re managing existing back pain, we’d always recommend speaking to your GP or physiotherapist about the specific features that suit your condition — we can’t offer medical advice, but we’re happy to talk you through product specs.

What’s the difference between mesh chairs and executive leather chairs?

Mesh office chairs offer breathable support and flexibility, keeping you cooler during long workdays — ideal if your home office is warm or you run hot. Executive leather chairs provide deeper padding, a more traditional aesthetic, and a premium professional finish — better suited to formal setups or short-to-medium sessions in cooler spaces.

Do you sell standing or height-adjustable desks?

Yes. Our height-adjustable desks (also called sit-stand or standing desks) allow you to switch between sitting and standing throughout the day — widely recommended for reducing the strain of long seated sessions. Most of our models use electric motors with memory presets for quick adjustment.

Do you sell desks for small home offices?

Yes. Our home office desks include compact rectangular desks, narrow desks, corner desks, and space-saving options for small rooms, city apartments, and student spaces. Each product page lists full dimensions so you can check it fits before you buy.

Do your desks come with storage?

Many of our desks include built-in storage or optional drawer units. Our dedicated desks-with-drawers range gives you filing and stationery space without needing a separate pedestal.

Do you sell reception or lounge seating?

 

Yes. Our reception lounge chairs and sofas are suitable for waiting areas, hybrid offices, and home workspaces. All models meet UK fire safety regulations.

How do I protect my floors from office chair castors?

A chair mat designed for your floor type prevents scratches and wear on carpets and hard floors, keeps chair movement smooth, and reduces strain on the castors themselves. We stock mats for both carpet and hard floors.

 

Ordering & Payment

How do I place an order?

Browse the site, add your chosen items to the basket, and complete checkout securely. You don't need to create an account to order, though doing so makes reordering easier.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes. All prices on our website include VAT. Our VAT registration number is 479 9422 30. VAT invoices are available on request — just email bob@bobshomeofficefurniture.co.uk.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely through our checkout provider.

Can I track my order?

Tracking depends on the supplier dispatching your item. As soon as we receive tracking details, we'll email them over to you so you can follow your order to your door. If you haven't heard anything and you'd like an update, email Bob directly at bob@bobshomeofficefurniture.co.uk and we'll chase it up for you

What if I order the wrong size desk or chair?

Under UK consumer law, you have 14 days from receiving your order to notify us that you wish to cancel, and a further 14 days to return the goods. Please return items in their original condition and packaging where possible. Full details are on our Returns Policy page.

 

Delivery, Returns & Warranty

Do you provide free delivery?

Yes. We offer free delivery to all UK mainland addresses — no minimum spend. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, and the Channel Islands may incur a surcharge depending on the product, manufacturer and courier. If you're in one of these areas, please place your order as normal — we'll confirm any additional delivery cost with you by email before dispatch, and you'll have the option to proceed or cancel for a full refund.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery takes between 1 and 10 working days, depending on the product, the manufacturer, and your location. Estimated delivery times are shown on each product page before checkout.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver across the UK mainland — England, Scotland, and Wales — to residential, home office, and commercial addresses. Standard delivery is to the ground-floor entrance; some products offer room-of-choice or two-person delivery, shown on the relevant product page. Full delivery details.

What is your returns policy?

Under UK consumer law, you have 14 days from receiving your order to let us know you want to cancel, and a further 14 days to return the goods. Please return items in their original condition and packaging where possible — excessive handling or damage may reduce the refund amount. Full details are on our Returns Policy page.

What if my furniture arrives damaged?

If your furniture arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible — ideally within 5 days — so we can arrange a replacement or refund. Photographs of the damage speed things up considerably.

Do your products come with a warranty?

Yes. Most products include a manufacturer warranty ranging from 1 to 10 years, depending on the item. Specific warranty terms are listed on individual product pages. Manufacturer warranties are in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law, which are not affected.

Can I customise my home office furniture?

We don’t offer fully bespoke furniture, but many products are available in a choice of sizes, colours, and finishes. Ergonomic chairs, for example, are available in fabric, mesh, and leather. Available options are shown on each product page.

 

Business & Bulk Orders

Do you supply businesses and offices?

Yes. We supply home offices, small businesses, education settings, and commercial customers across the UK. Delivery is free to any UK mainland business address.

Do you offer trade or bulk discounts?

For larger orders, we’re happy to discuss pricing on a case-by-case basis. Email Bob directly at bob@bobshomeofficefurniture.co.uk with a rough list of what you’re after and we’ll come back with a quote.

Can I get a VAT invoice for my business?

Yes. VAT invoices are available on request for any order. Email us your order number and we’ll send one over.

Do you sell complete home office furniture collections?

Yes. Our Home Office Collections feature coordinated desks, chairs, and storage designed to work together — so you can kit out a full workspace in one go, with a consistent finish.
